Welcome

Greetings stranger. Whoever you are, thank you for trying out my little attempt to waste your online time. I thank you even more if you waste some additional time and sign my guestbook. What you'll find here is mostly programming and music related, I think a bit more programming than music, but that might change - or not. Perhaps I remove this page completely and put an online flower shop here instead, but the chances that this will happen are small, very small. They are so incredibly small, you wouldn't get all the zeros after the decimal point on a 15" screen. What I am telling you is, if you came here to buy flowers, you are in the wrong place. Simple. Nevertheless, I won't feel offended if you send me the number of your credit card so I can go and visit a real flowershop.

News: One Step CloserJul 16, 2006 - 01:51 AM
I've uploaded a new track in two versions

One Step Closer
One Step Closer (Michael Lambart Remix)

It's a deep and comforting techno track with very smooth synth lines, likewise suitable for dancing and chilling. Michael Lambart remixed it and I think he did a really great job, but listen for yourself.

Also, Tabasco EP has been released some time ago, too.

News: Release is nearJan 16, 2006 - 10:32 PM
The long time pending release of Tabasco E.P. is due in February and with it comes a little change. Other than originally planned, this release features two tracks by Plan-E and two from myself, making it a two artist bomb.

Soundpreviews are available on the Northbeatz Audio homepage. Also, a new free release is going to be added to the download section soon. It just needs a few more touchups - check back in a few days.

On another note, due to a recent PHP-Nuke update this site now officially sucks when viewed with Internet Explorer. Use Firefox instead, it's better anyway.

News: Say goodbye to Sharky-XMar 16, 2005 - 11:44 AM
I've added my new upcoming vinyl release Josh Revilo - Tabasco EP to the releases section. For those who don't know it yet, Josh Revilo is my new artist name, so don't expect any more releases from Sharky-X in the foreseeable future. As a consequence of the upcoming release, the free downloads of Tabasco and Cortex Failure have been removed from the downloads section. This can and will happen to some of the other downloadable tracks, too, so get them while you can.

Speaking of free downloads, Angel and Cybersex are now available for your hearing pleasures. Angel is deep, mystic, dark, melodic, Cybersex on the other hand is rather hard techno with highly synthetic sounds.

News: Random updatesSep 15, 2004 - 07:46 PM
So today I decided to take down "Jasmin turns me on" again and replace it with something fresh. The new track's name is a lot easier to remember; it's called "Jasmin", a lot calmer in it's nature and as such, dedicated to Jasmin again :) Apart from that, there are two brand new downloads available: "Deflectorshield" and "Nanobot" are both techno tracks with a lot of synthesizer sounds in them, former definitely being the more aggressive one. Head over to the downloads section and check them out.

Meanwhile, Zoidcom Beta 4 has been released, so if you are looking for a networking solution for your game, make sure you don't miss it.

Torn Apart available on vinyl!Feb 10, 2004 - 10:02 AM
Torn Apart, a track formerly available from the download section, is now available on vinyl:
[DEF2016] Definition Records: Men of Noise vs. Sharky-X - More than just big fishes

Worldwide distribution is performed by neuton medien vertriebs gmbh / www.neuton.com.

Review from pank/atome.com:
'the latest definition release is something highly recommendable!!! after the huge success of the original track, this ep delivers three remixes of "more than just big fishes" + a brand new track by sharky-x. a1 of this ep is max cavallera's remix who did a great work with the vocoded vocals and his crunchy, evolving "bassrun". a2 is sharky-x's brilliant "torn apart"; a track that has the fonts to be a number 1 hit!!! atmospheric background ambience and break downs, super elegant synth melodies and extra groovin drumloops made this track one of my current favourites. on b side, there is christian fischer's remix with some really nice sharp hi-hat's and some short filtered break downs. b2 is the last remix by keep it stereo which has a somehow more "acidic" sound. a "must have" ep that will definitely make the crowd wild!!!'

Definition Records | Neuton

The release can be ordered at Deejay.de | Web Records | or any record dealer of your choice.
